Civic and community events

We fund programs that support and promote the economic vitality of the areas we serve. We give priority to programs that meet the needs of a diverse business community.

Some of the groups and events we support are:

California

• Taft Chamber of Commerce: Membership and sponsorship of events, including the Fishing Derby, Annual Gala and Holiday Parade.
  
• Taft Fort Preservation Society: Membership and sponsorship of the Cowboy Poetry Night, which raises funds to help preservation efforts in Taft.
  
• United Way of Kern County: Sponsorship of the "Days of Caring" Community Revitalization program. This event recruits volunteers from all over Kern County for cleanup, mentoring and food distribution programs in a number of Kern County communities.
  
• Escondido Chamber of Commerce: Membership and support of events, including the Annual Dinner and Golf Invitational.
