El Dorado Combined Cycle Power Plant
One of the nation's first large-scale merchant power plants, El Dorado Energy uses state-of-the-art combined-cycle technology with natural gas as a fuel source. The plant became commercial operational in May 2000 as the cleanest, most efficient fossil-fueled power plant in Nevada.
