At El Dorado Energy, environmental stewardship is a cornerstone of our commitment to the community and our customers.  The site is one of the cleanest power generation locations in the country. 

• Combined Cycle Power Plant
  The 480 MW natural gas power plant uses combined cycle technology that significantly reduced emissions. By using natural gas, the plant is much cleaner running than those that use either coal or oil. The plant is one of the cleanest natural gas plants in Nevada.
• Solar technology
  The El Dorado Energy site features the largest thin-film solar power project in the North America.  This project generates 10 MW of electricity, or enough for roughly 6,400 homes.
