Education

We give preference to educational efforts that focus on math and science in grades K-12. We also embrace programs for young people that foster the use of new technology, promote achievement and help keep kids in school.

Some of our community partnerships in education include:

California

• Sempra Energy "Math & Science Alliance": A program with Buttonwillow School that provides funds for teachers and their classrooms for select projects and field trips that promote math, science and technology.
  
• Achievement through Art: A collaboration with the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, Calif., that brings students on-site to do education-based programs with local artists, singers and performers.
