Sempra Generation's power plants produce more than 2,600 megawatts (MW) of electricity using clean-burning natural gas.

The company also has a renewable energy generation project in development. La Rumorosa is a potential wind-power facility in Baja California, Mexico. The 250 MW project is scheduled to be operational by mid- to late 2010.
